- Complete turnkey electrical installation – from first-fix wiring right through to the final completion of sensitive medical areas
For the prestigious Augenzentrum Bad Rothenfelde eye centre, we took full charge of the entire electrical installation works. As this was a top-class medical facility, the project demanded maximum precision, compliance with strict German technical standards (DIN/VDE) and flawless coordination with the other trades on site.
PHASE 1: First-fix electrical installation (Infrastructure preparation)
- Demanding routing and cable runs Complete setting-out and chasing of routes for power and extra-low-voltage wiring, taking account of the high concentration of technology.
- Specialised cabling Pulling tens of kilometres of cable in conduit along floors and suspended ceilings, including a robust network of data (UTP) cables connecting the diagnostic equipment and the clinic's IT infrastructure.
- Preparation for medical technology and HVAC Running cable routes to the operating theatres and laser rooms, as well as advance provision for the complex air-handling system (HVAC), air conditioning and strictly controlled ventilation.
PHASE 2: Final completion and commissioning (Turnkey handover)
- Special lighting for healthcare areas Complete installation and connection of all interior luminaires, from designer ambient lighting in the waiting rooms to highly functional and precise medical lighting in the consulting rooms.
- Completion of wiring accessories Fitting and connecting hundreds of sockets, switches and data outlets, with an emphasis on aesthetics, cleanliness and maximum hygienic safety of surfaces.
- Extra-low-voltage systems Final connection of the emergency lighting systems, patient call systems, CCTV system and the clinic's access control systems.
- Main and sub-distribution boards Complete installation, interconnection and commissioning of the electrical distribution cabinets, including circuit breakers, RCDs and advanced surge protection devices to safeguard the expensive diagnostic equipment.
Result
The entire technologically demanding space of the eye clinic was handed over in one hundred per cent condition, fully functional and ready for the installation of state-of-the-art medical equipment. This project is proof of our ability to deliver complex building services networks on a turnkey basis, even for the most demanding commercial and healthcare facilities.
